@paigelws6 Completely agree. I actually got to play with an iPad today and yeah, it was fun and I was a little giddy, but at the end of the day I can’t imagine doing anything actually useful with it.
@ClaireHanan1 Apple spends too much time preparing for their keynotes for Steve Jobs to “accidentally” navigate to a site with flash content in his demo. I think that Apple is pulling our leg on this one, and will either release it in iPhone 3.2.1/3.3/4.0 (whichever is the next to come out) or in a hardware update (Apple often makes certain software features exclusive to new hardware…lame) within a year or so.
I read someone that most people think Flash is on the way out, so maybe Apple is just ahead of the curve? Who knows. It’s frustrating now for the sites that run on it, like the New York Times.
These reviews lead me to believe the iPad isn’t revolutionary. No Flash and no camera…seems odd.
I am not convinced that the iPad will change much about the way users get information. It definitely seems like a want more than a need.
